Mouseover the dashed regions for plan info
In general, all lumber > 2" wide will be exposed. Right now, the plan calls for 4x8 joists over most of the cloak room just because we need to cover that space where the entryway blends into the downstairs hallway and the beams will be exposed - but I think that we'll put a finished ceiling in over the cloak room.
2x10's on 2' centers
This actually two beams - one from the load bearing wall to the west and going to the post. The other one from the post to the gable end wall on the east.
I need 6x10 beams here so that I can put joists in on each side w/out the bolts hitting each other. I might have to go to something wider, but I don't think that the it would be necessitated by the load.
Mostly a 4x8 just to match the other lumber.
