North and south walls will be 6' high. Master bedroom will have a shed dormer to give it 8' walls.
Small windows above each bedroom door and the sink area of the kids bathroom facing towards the interior will let in light. We'll make them openable (probably awning) to to facilitate heat/air transfer.
Emma's asking for this room to be hers
Dormer window on north wall.
Dormer window on north wall.
Primary place for sheet and towel storage upstairs.
We're going to build in some kind of bench in the back of the tub. We're keeping the tub/toilet separate from the sinks so that some can be using the facilities while others are washing up or brushing their teeth.
Sink area for the kids.
We will have a secondary plumbing wall between this room and the master bath.
Primary pathway for crossing the house upstairs. Lines up with downstairs hallway. Probably will put some bookshelves along north (top) wall. South (bottom) is just railing and then the "open space".
Same as on downstairs. Upstairs, they enter in the middle of the landing.
Bookshelves and sitting place. East (right) side has railing into open space. North (top) will have 3' wall and we'll likely back half-height book shelves up to it.
Every house needs a bridge, right? Open on left to stairwell and a bit to hearth room and right to open space.
Open to main open space below.

Master bathroom. Triangular shower enclosure - no tub.
We're going to cap the ceiling at 8' in the bathroom and keep the space above it for storage.
A small nook for a baby mattress for babies to sleep. We'll use it during the period of time after they're big enough to roll off the bed and before they're ready for a "big" room.
We're going to cap the closet where the southern-most edge hits the ceiling. That will give us a triangular space that's about 13' long and 4' high on the north side. Amber's planning on using it for plants.
